Castle Carrock . . . a beautiful Cumbrian village in the North Pennines

Concerts and Shows

Castle Carrock plays host to a range of professional musicians, theatre groups, magicians, cabaret shows, you name it, we do it, on a regular basis. Shows are held in the Watson Institute. Some are organised through the Highlights Rural Touring Scheme http://www.highlightsnorth.co.uk/ . Others we organise independently ourselves.

The Watson Institute is set up in a cabaret style, with candles on lots of small tables, and the audience are warmly invited to “bring a bottle”. The capacity is about 65 people. Over the past few years, the hall has played host to the Quondam Theatre Company, Hank Wangford and Reg Meuross, Richard Durrant, Clive Carroll, Tim Kliphuis, a fabulous jazz band called Smooch, and a terrific cabaret show called Six Impossible Things which featured a huge inflatable lobster at the end. Tickets invariably sell out. Upcoming concerts and shows will be listed in the “Events” section of this website.
