The Parish Council (alongside dozens of other councils across the UK) are participating in a short nationwide event to commemorate the end of World War I. The event comprises the lighting of a beacon (which will be in the pig field behind school), the reading of a commemorative poem and the ringing of church bells. All are welcome to come along, and there will be hot soup in The Watson Institute straight afterwards, with all donations going towards Help for Heroes.
