Trio Dhoore, the band of three Flemish brothers who took Music on the Marr by storm in 2018, are making a very welcome return to The Watson Institute, on Saturday November 9th . Ward, Hartwin, and Koen Dhoore have been playing together for more than twenty years. Formerly in the attic at home, these days live on stage. Ward on guitar and live electronics, Hartwin on diatonic accordion and Koen on his electro-acoustic hurdy-gurdy. Little has changed in the concept. They playfully create their own imaginary world in which no musical rules apply. Through the years the brothers have managed to create their own sound with their innovative identity of sound that is hard to link with traditional music from any region, but which still feels familiar to many. Their accordion, hurdy-gurdy, guitar and electronic effects complement each other seamlessly in a musical adventure where you sit on the edge of your chair. Anyone who saw them at the festival or on their return visit to the Institute a year ago will remember them fondly.
